    but actuary is damn hard - there are like 21 exams and on average it takes about 7 years to fully qualify because very little people pass each exam. GET PAID LOADS THOUGH. You could go into research - you'd have to get a masters and phd to get a job at a top uni (and wrote some respectable papers)

    accountancy is very respected - but don't be surprised if you find that you don't use much of your maths for it (assuming you want to do a maths degree). Actuary is a much more mathematically demanding field.

    i think they meant IN maths... as in which part of maths

    perhaps maths and computer science degree? But is there a particular field of maths or ICT that you are interested in? E.g. mechanics, statistics, mathematical biology etc
