get 95%+ in all your subjects at AS, undertake LOTS of economics reading-write a great personal statement, get great reference quoting your great results with A*A*A* predictions. Then your best chance would be Cambridge - the others are just GCSE whores (i.e. No).
Wrong. He doesn't even stand a chance in Cambridge. Cambridge are subject whores and I don't think they respect statistics. Maths is a requirement at Cambridge and further Maths is highly recommended. Oxford don't have Maths as a requirement and only recommend it. There is a TSA that he takes and if he gets a certain mark, he gets an interview.

Yes, that's why I recommended it.

ill do stats and econ at uni then?
It's up to you. I am just recommending stats and econ because of your subject combination. Bare in mind, if you do stats and econ at UCL then you need A*AA.

alright, then if i get 3A*S at a-level and apply for warick can u asses my chances?
You can't get into Warwick for Econ. You need a 4th AS.

    ...
If you want Warwick, why don't you self-teach critical thinking? It's easy and meets the requirement or if you can't then why don't you ask your teacher if you can do the extended project? If you do it, then you can meet the requirement.

Seeing as Warwick require you to do 3 other A levels when you do FM, I don't think they'll be too impressed with Maths + Stats.

Pretty much. I've heard Warwick rejected people with 7 a*s at gcse who offered 3 A levels in 2010.
