I am currently studying French and History (RV11) at Royal Holloway, but I am very keen to change my course to straight History instead (V100) due to problems I am having with French and the appeal of the other History units.
I required ABB to study French and History - which I managed to exactly achieve.
However the undergraduate requirement for straight History is AAB which obviously I didn't quite get.
Is the decision regarding these choices purely dependent on the discretion of the university and their factors (course space, time elapsed since the course began etc) or is there some sort of procedure across the board?
Do you guys think it's possible? Anyone had a similar experience? Would appreciate the answers...thanks.

I think it's purely down to the university, but even though you didn't meet the requirements it's not impossible to change, try speaking with the History lecturers and see what they say, it also depends on the course space, obviously if the course is full then even if the uni was happy to let you do straight History they wouldn't be able to change it. Good luck!

You won't know until you ask the university about it. Nobody can give you better advice here obviously.
