Basically, I'm applying to Bristol, Aberdeen, Keele and UEA, and I have just learned today that I'm being predicted a B in Chemistry. I know I've chosen four AAB unis, but it's clear that I won't stand much of a chance in hell of even getting an interview with those minimum requirements.

So what can I do? Should I ask my teacher if he can increase my prediction if I vow to work harder, or is it (dare I say) a lost cause? Have any other med applicants this year been given a B, but persuaded their teachers to boost it up to an A?

I got a mid-B at AS, btw. Any help would be appreciated.

You'd be fine for UEA as they only require Biology at A, Bristol require chem at A so you wouldn't meet that requirement, Keele say "It is not necessary for a grade A pass to be achieved in Chemistry or Biology" and Aberdeen only require Chem to grade B so you'd still be absolutely fine with 3 out of those 4.
