Assign to each side (b) of a convex polygon (P) the maximum area of a triangle that has b as a side and is contained in (P) . Show that the sum of the areas assigned to the sides of P is at least twice the area of P.

I know i probably wont get many answers for this, as it is very tough, but im just curious if anybody knows where to start ???

im not trying to attack you or anything, but you actually took time to create a link and check through my posts, just to outline the point that im not at that level. Im just curious, im not necessariy wanting to solve it, im just curious as how people would approach the problem?

I have to confess to skepticism, given that it's an Olympiad level problem and less than 10 minutes after you posted it you said "i dont think anybody will reply, can you close this please".
