    Hello everyone

Just submitted my personal statement to my school's referee who said it was fine and has confirmed it. On the UCAS it says that they're waiting to confirm my references which i have a meeting about tomorrow morning. However when casually checking my statement i realised i'd made a stupid mistake. I called a book 'scanning darkly' not scanner darkly' which is pretty chronic considering i'm doing english. Just wondering if it's too late to change the statement, i.e can my referee 'unlock' it.

    thanks in advance

maybe if you cared about your personal statement you would have gone through it only once. Being bad at applying doesn't really give your argument much grounding

You usually can change things on your application form. You need to talk to your college about it though, as I'm not sure what stage of the process you are at. I wouldn't worry about it too much if you can't though; although the previous poster was very rude and unhelpful, little things like that won't make a university turn you down. Depending on your university, ie whether you have to interview or not, personal statements aren't as important, so don't be unduly worried
    Good Luck with your application!

You can ask your referee to send the application back to you so that you can make the correction.
