Keeping it short, im doing AS

    Im doing F.Maths, S1 and FP1 and D1
    BUT I HATE D1
Its pointless, so what are my options?

    Can I do FP2 or Fp3 before FP1?
Can I do S2 along with S1? Or should I do S1 completly first?

Is that a modual? Who offers it?

Yes, it's a module. MEI OCR offers it!

D1 isn't pointless, and it is very easy marks

Wow, that sucks! Then I will go with S2, it is quite tedious but not too difficult and probably a lot more interesting than D1.

Oh, you're with Edexcel. I don't think you can tbh! I would stick with D1 then!

Hey... I'm in the same position as you

Not sure either but I was thinking s1/d1/fp1.....

Can this be done from scratch to be able to sit it in Jan and get a B+?? and i mean this Jan ...

Also how u finding d1?? Is it easy?

It helps to have taken the first applied module before the second (e.g. S1 before S2). What are you sitting in January? If you can take S1 in January, take S2 in June instead of D1. If not, you'll probably manage to do them simultaneously. Ideally you'll be able to study the parts of S2 that don't build on S1 first (I don't know what these are for your course, though).

You can't do NM (Numerical Methods) unless all your other FM modules are also MEI (your 'normal' maths modules don't need to be, though), and if you like firm answers, NM is not for you (it's all about using formulae to approximate things you can't find analytically, but there are several different methods that need to be memorised for each topic. I didn't enjoy it at all).

I did S1 and S2 together and did fine, but D1 is much easier marks and not at all pointless.

Ok thanks Do you think I could I begin learning it while doing S1? Is it harder than fp2 or fp3 (If you have done those, that is :p: )

D1 is fairly easy, yea, but learning all thre for jan is a bit of a stretch. Just start modual by modual and sit the ones you have completed.

In my opinion S2 is slightly easier than S1, so you definitely can learn it without proper knowledge of S1 :yep:

S2 harder then FP2/FP3? Never!!!!
