I have decided that I want to opt to do a Primary Teaching Degreee, however, although I have carried out a lot of research about the Universities that offer this course, I'm finding it difficult to choose ones to apply forr...

The HIGHEST entry requirements I have found that ask for Primary Teaching is BBB, which is for Durham.

Just wondering does anyone have a good idea as to a University well known for Primary Teaching? :p:

I heard you don't get a lot of practical experience at a lot of universities untill your final year.

I'm just into my second year at Stirling and I'm already teaching kids! Infact I'm teaching them today at 11 :yep:

    hey

I'm predicted A*AB but I've applied to York St John (240 points), Canterbury Christ Church (240 points), Durham (BBB), St Marys University College Twickenham (BC) and Brighton (BBC)

I just think you've got to apply where you want because the traditional "good" unis don't do primary education and its the newer ones that do

    hope this helps

btw I want to specialise in languages so I had quite limited options with the unis I chose, but I think some "better sounding" unis do other specialisms but still have low grades

    Hey,
i'm applying for Primary teaching degree too - i did start by looking at which unis had good grades etc. but in the end i found that te best thing to do is look what kind of place they are (eg. small rural campus) then going to visit - Hull went from being the last on my list to the first!
Seriously though, just go to open days for all the ones that look good on paper. My faves ended up being Hull, Derby, Edge Hill and BG. I hear Leeds Met is good too !
