So I was havign a look at PE grad jobs. However it seems like the only ones that don't require some M&A experience are in Investor Relations.
So i was wondering how those are rated, FO or more BO, eventhough it does involve significant client contact.

I already have 2 FO internships so i'd be worried of this beeing a step down...

It's FO as they are generating revenue...I spend half my day working with PE IR guys, its a good job, lots of travel, lots of client contact - but at the end of the day you are a marketing person rather than an investor - no reason to not have a succesful career doing it - and if you are good you become very employable, or a lot set up their own consultancies and essentially work as middle men between the funds and potential LPs.
