Any general advice/opinions on what length skirts are suitable for an interview? I've seen a lot of mixed opinions when I've been looking!

Also, may I ask, is this skirt too short in your opinion with black tights?

I plan on wearing that top and blazer but am undecided about the skirt. I don't want to look cheap, and it's not tight so what do you think? I could wear black trousers instead or a different style of skirt (but what? ) but am trying to avoid looking too smart, as in suit smart.

I would go for a pencil skirt personally.

I've always been told to wear a black skirt not more than three finger widths above the knee and opaque tights to interviews. It's sexist and everything, but apparently it's safer to wear a skirt than trousers.

The skirt you have posted is fine.

Here's a graph of skirt length (x axis) versus chance of acceptance:

As long as you have opaque tights and it covers your bum, sorted. Don't wear trousers.

Well I wore a short, tight black skirt with opaque black tights and leather boots to my Oxford interview (unwittingly I may add, I just put it on without considering how short it was :p:) and that was fine. I'm sure as long as you don't look actively slutty then it's really not a problem, but I would advise wearing something a bit longer than I did, just in case :o:!

Thank you, I'll keep that rule in mind
