    anon please
    What are the drinking laws.
Say i walk into a pub, me being 17 and my boyfriend being 19. Can he buy two alcoholic drinks and give me one? Or would the bar man ask for ID from both of us even if only he is paying?
    THanks

Some barmen will tell you that you need to be at least 18 to even enter the pub.

If he's going to ask ID he'd ask for ID from both of you, if you can't present it he'll probably ask you to leave the pub altogether if it's in the evening.

Technically, you need to be 18 to actually enter a pub.
BUT if your actually ask your boyfriend to get you a drink, you should be fine.

Depends on the pub, the person working, the time of day, if you're ordering food, blablabla.

If you want to do that, go and sit down and get your bf to get you a drink. They'll probably ID if you're stood right next to him.

Really depends on the pub. I've been to some where they don't ID at all, some where they only ID the people buying alcohol, and some where they ID you just to get in.

Bar man would ask you both for id. Not every pub will ask for id but most will. You never know you being a girl they might not ask you and only ask him.

If you're eating a meal, you can have a glass of wine or Beer if it's been bought by the other person, I believe.

Sounds like the ideal night out if you ask me.
