i created a new account as iv missed all week of lecures as i want very well although i did go in yesterday. i havt made friends yet so i thouhgt id try opening a faceboo and finding people on my course on my uni groups. I added a few people on the group and later on in the day facebook said to me that i must ensure i add people who i know personally or my account will be blocked from adding people for 2 days.

i dnt really get it, i was just being nice adding them also why did facebook send me this. it was like a warning. did the people i add report me or something?

also did i go the wrong way about finding friends from my uni?

some of the keys on my laptop need to be pressed quite hard for them to work. i type fast so some letters are missed out. its not my spelling.

There's nothing wrong with "random" friend requests (which aren't really too random if they are people on your course - even if you don't know them). Most people will happily accept them. Same with people at your university who look like they have similar interests.

Have you tried searching for people from school? Or would you rather not? :p: I did it when I first get an account waaaay back in 2007 (doesn't seem that long ). But did it in quite a selective way as some I'd rather never see again either in real life or virtually....

It just happens when you add lots of people at once.
