In all seriousness though, it's a good idea for the chavs, but random searches shouldn't be allowed and I know some teachers who are absolute ***** and will probably abuse the power.

Idea - In stead of on the spot searches, Teachers should be able to search someone if they have just cause, the headteacher gives consent and they are both accountable for it - meaning if the search was investigated and found to be unethical/unnecessary/not justified, the teacher could face disciplinary action.
Should teachers be able to restrain students? Of course. They should be allowed to restrain them, and physically remove them from a classroom if they refuse to leave. Its the interests of the other, well behaving students that you have to consider.

Well, maybe none of you guys went to ****ty schools, or have ever worked in a school, but I support this.
The problem many seem to have is that individual teachers may abuse it, that's the same with anything like this. It won't be the majority.Last edited by concubine; 16-02-2011 at 20:10.

Male teachers in girls' schools fully support these measures apparently...
