    Hey everyone!

I'm heading up to Durham tomorrow (cant wait!!) but having cold feet about what modules to do. As part of my course I can do 2 modules from outside my department, and I was going to do 1 archaeology module and 1 spanish module (did it to A level), but now im thinking about doing Arabic instead and simply join the Spanish society to keep up my Spanish.

So my question was, does anyone have experience of Arabic at Durham? I read from someone at another uni that 3/4 of their beginners Arabic class were already able to speak some Arabic (e.g. through parents) is this the case at Durham? It would be a bit intimidating if the rest of the class could already speak the language and I had no idea lol :p:

Have you ever experienced racism/sexism at uni?
