Nah, obviously I have a different outlook than other people do.

I'd never expect someone to pay that amount for me if I was financially capable to.

I'm not spoiled either, I've had a pretty crap run of things compared to other people but I don't complain about it.
From what you've said you have had a much worse run than me, and certainly seem more mature, but I'd say we shared that outlook. It depends how your Gran was asked, but, for something so expensive, I'd expect to pay and would certainly offer.
I hate being insulted, and I'll always stand up for myself.
I'm not exactly the type that has to walk away from confrontation either, but all the ways I can see this going lead to more bother for you. I'm not trying to undermine your standpoint, but I thought I'd offer advice. From here, the two ways I can see this going (and although you probably know this, I might as well post) are:

1)You go to your Gran and tell her of your parents having to borrow money off you. She then, undoubtedly, goes to your parents. They fall out with you as they feel you've went behind her back.

2)You go to your Gran and ask why she hasn't offered to pay, she gets upset and brings your parents in again. They're annoyed you've went behind their back and upset your Gran

If you think you can avoid this, and there's probably a way I'm too naive to see, then fire away. Family fallouts are ten-a-penny in my family, I've learned to keep my own counsel.

At the end of the day it's my thread. If you're not going to contribute to it and insult me, I'd prefer you didn't post. Don't you have something else better to do mate than insult a girl you don't know?
    At the current moment, no.

Anyway I'm not going to be posting on this thread any more, because it makes me feel sick.

Ample advice has been given, and as this thread has descended into insulting those whose views differ from their own, it shall be closed.
