Hi!

I tried to write in my Hungarian final exam results in the UCAS application form, but the way I see it, it gives me the interface for the English A-levels or something like that. I am not exactly sure about how to write in my exam results in order to make sure that it is clear and understandable for the English universities.

Could somebody please help me?
Select 'other' from the list of qualifications offered to you when you add your school or college to the Education section, and then write in the specific details of your qualifications.

The problem is that there is an option 'Erettsegi - Hungary' but the interface it gives is not really compatiable with the way these exams go here.
It asks for a qualification date first of all and that is absolutely understandable. Then it asks for a grade and then modules/units.

I am not entirely familiar with the English A-levels, but if I understood well enough you would write the Final Grade in the top 'Grade' section and there are different modules in each subject and you can add your results you achieved in these modules if you wish so. With this you can show that you were the best in every module, or you just missed the better grade by one mark.

However you only have one final exam from every subject in Hungary, there are no modules or anything like that. There are normal and advanced levels from every subject and in fact, what you get is your result in %. The grade is just an additional reference it doesn't really matter.

If I type in my subject results into the modules section ignoring that this is really not an accurate phrasing, I still don't know what to write into the top grade section. You don't get a 'final' grade for your Erettsegi. Should I write my average there? Or all the results together like '55554' (because the marks are from 1-5 and 5 is the best)?

Probably a fellow Hungarian could help me...

I think I'd enter each subject as a separate entity using the 'other' box to enter the percent score if that's how your results are presented.

Thanks really much for the help but I think the best would be for me to get advice from a Hungarian studying in England (because I have other questions too). Do you have any suggestions how to get in touch with one here (I'm new here)?

Unless there's someone who happens to read this, no.

Otherwise, you could phone UCAS and ask them for advice.
