In my GCSEs I got A*AAAABBCC with A's in English, Science and Maths.
I understand these grades won't get me into Cambridge or Oxford but if I was to get AAA in the subjects I am taking - (Maths, Economics, Eng Language) would that be good enough to get me into somewhere like UCL, Imperial or King's College?

i got an offer from imperial last year with gcse's 6 A's 3 B's and 1 C. That was to read Mech Engineering MEng. You have to have a good personal statement, the required predicted grades in strong A level subjects, and impress them at the interview, which if you are passionate about your subject and know what you are talking about, you will. You do then have to get the grades however, and I didnt. And now im back at college for a 3rd year...

not necessarily. I mean, i'm not saying you can get into oxbridge, but cambridge for sure is more bothered about UMS marks/ interview than gcses. certainly they care less about gcses than places like imperial, which have only the PS to go off.
