PS: To a mod who may think of changing this thread, or alerting me with warnings, this is UNIVERSITY question, it can be classed as a GCSE question, but i felt it more suitable here. If it is not, change it WITHOUT giving warnings! cheers

Basically, do universities, for medicine , look at any old GCSE , or do they see relevant ones? This goes for non-medicine courses?

    Compare these two results:

    Biology - A*
    Chemistry - A*
    Physics- A*
    Maths - A*
    History- A*
    R.E - A*
    English Literature- A*
    English Language- A
    Islamic studies - A
    Double AWARD business - DD(distinction)
    Double AWARD it - DD(distinction)

    And the below

    Biology - A*
    Chemistry- A
    Physics- A
    Maths- A
    Geography - A*
    English lang - A*
    English lit- A*
    Art - A*
    Double IT - A*A*

For a medical course, would universities think -

    oh, same thing.

one person has Three science A*'s and a maths A*. That's more relevant to a medical course than a double A* in IT and geography?
How are you feeling in the run-up to Results Day 2018?
