Anybody got any original ideas for a piece of GCSE maths coursework. i'm
trying to relate it to trig (basic + sine and consine rules) and also
loci, but this is not essential. They've got to be able to get at least
7, 7, 7 on it, so it means manipulating a complex task with a least
three variables. Any body got any ideas.

I've got them to calculate the vertical height of a person as they go
around on the London Eye (assuming it goes around at constant speed) and
draw a grpah and it produces a nice curve. However has anybody got any
ideas how I could extend this.

Any response would be more than welcome.

How about distance from an observer who's looking at the Eye from some
unspecified angle? (There are a few choices of 'distance' you might
consider too.)

Vertical and horizontal distance between two different pods as they go
around ? Investigate for different spacings of pods ?

Let's face it. Coursework is turning into a cheats charter. The idea is for you to have the ideas.
We all know, apart from the politicians, that this is ridiculous.
