PDJM I did one at 3 Hare Court?! Who did you work with? Aidan still helps me out a great deal and I also worked with James Dingemans QC and Katherine Deal.

I was with Peter Knox and his then pupil Daniel Lewis.
I suspect it is rather hard to get in to Maitland. I was most impressed by them when I was at their 'chancery rivals' Wilberforce

"I suspect it is rather hard to get in to Maitland."

If you are referring to pupillage I have no doubt as to this. If however you are referring to a mini-pupillage you will find that their mini-pupillages are unassessed, less essential to the application process, and more numerous than the ones at Wilberforce; with a probable consequence that they may not be as difficult to obtain as a Wilberforce mini-pupillage.
Actually I nearly fainted when Wilberforce took me. I think I was the only non-Oxbridge there, but had a advantage because the other pupils came from non law back grounds. I think I'd have messed up their assessment with zero law training.

I would really like to see Maitland for my self. Thanks for your advice. I might apply.

If I were you I would apply. If there's a Chambers you are interested in or like the look of, apply for a mini-pupillage there. The worst case scenario is that your application will be rejected, and everybody gets rejections; but if you don't apply in the first place you are actually rejecting yourself from the start. Even if you feel you don't quite fit their profile- don't stereotype them; I am sure Chambers are interested in intelligent and determined individuals no matter which institutions they attended.
