Hi, I hope to train as a dental tech in the near future, most of the courses at the college near me that does courses in dental tech have discontinued  they now only offer BSc & a Foundation Degree in dental tech. I don't want to be in college full time, I want to be working & training day release (for the foundation degree most probably or whatever the employer is willing to let me do). My main problem at the moment is trying to find a vacancy as a trianee dental tech, it's the chicken & the egg scenario, what do I do?

I wish there was a course I could do to find out if it really is for me & to increase my chances of getting a traineeship in the first place. Sorry I've gone on & on, Hopefully I'll find something. Are you doing a dental tech course?
