DO NOT go to the guild barbers. the fact that it's actually situated in the toilets should tell you something. still, i went once in the first year. he only asked me what i wanted after he took the clippers to the side of my head. afetr that i didnt really have much choice other than a very short back and sides. was cheap (3.50) but since then ive just got mates to do it, then bought them a pint. if you're really desperate, ill give you a trim, ive had a fair bit of practice the last few years, and i'll never turn down a pint.

Hphilrange is totally correct, the guy in the barbers only really has one style and thats just short, he probably used to cut the grass for the city council or something  there are plenty of barbers around both on smithdown road if you live uop that way and n the city centre, razors edge on Hardman street, by bargain booze does a great cut with student discounts.

I went to Mode (opposite Tesco near Greenbank), the cut was OK, but seriously overpriced at £13.00!

Yes but these are desperate times and £3.50 will do just fine for a haircut  I just need any old cut right now

I went to the Mens toilets barbers today

It cost only £4. And although it smells of smokers it looks certainly looks like a little babarshop, however dirty and messy. The guy who was there thankfuly didnt talk to me but to warehouseish mates of his who came in. Anyway he got his shavers and went at it with no mercy! He was moving over my head from all directions like his was polishing a car. Nevertheless it was quick and happily cheap. I went to rinse my head under the taps in the toilets and blow dry my hair with the handdriers (and I had some weird man just standing there watching me over his shoulder throughout. Maybe he knew something I didnt).

Anyway...yeah...

GOOD POINTS
- your hair gets cut
- your hair gets cut quickly
- your hair gets cut cheaply
- he has a radio on...

BAD POINTS
- embarressing to announce "yeah! I got it done in the barbars down the mens toilets!"
- not very bright and cosy or inviting
- the man told me he cuts his own hair
- he runs the shaver like a dodgem car over your head
- he doesnt use scissors or anything other than a shaver
- doesnt offer gel or water
- smells of smoking
- doesnt look safe to leave your bags at the waiting seats
- got moody when I said I'd possibly wanted it a bit different, so I said leave it
- not for those who expect quality! not that I did lol

I'll stop rambling now. Thank you Mr Hairdresser for my hair cut

I'm home for the weekend [been back about 2 hours and bored already...roll on seeing my friends tomorrow!] so I'm getting my hair cut tomorrow. Can't wait. I love it.

I think I'm gona request that the neck length is left as it is, whilst having a cut on top. I love that look, it's horrendously gay. All I need now is a *totally* bling diamond earring.

he offered me gel. I refused because
a) i still had hair all over me and didn't think it was worth getting it all sticky.
b) it was asda's own gel. mmm.

Andrew Collinge's Graduates in St John's shopping center is really good. £15 and I got mine washed, dried and cut really well. Real friendly staff as well.
