There is probably a small chance you could as it could have skipped a generation with your dad, however you could be like your dad and not, however being bald is nothing to be ashamed of, many women dont mind bald men. When you are older you may feel differently but for know id try not to worry about it.
I hope that helped.

hi, i do not want to go bald at all, but i am very worried that i will

both my parent's dads only went bald about 55, and my dad is not bald, so there is a very unlikely chance i would go bald right?

Rogaine for men! By the time you're old there will be even more pharmaceuticals for this...

Anyway, they say that your mom's dad is what decides it for you??

It might be an old wives tale I have no clue but I read that you get baldness from your mothers side if you are a guy so if your mums dad is bald then you are more likely to be.

Unless you want to spend alot of money trying to prevent it/rectify it (and most likely not see much benefit), you have 2 options: a)lose hair and fret and worry and be unhappy, b)lose hair and not give a **** and live life. IF you're losing hair that is.

In about 5 years hair multiplication should be available commercially anyway. That'll cost alot though. A cheaper way would be to have a full head of hair tattooed on your head.
I started losiong hair when I was 15, consider yourself lucky. My school life went ***** from it.

but basically like i would go bald at about 55? thats ok, cause i dont want to go bald when i am like 35 or something!

btw is dyeing hair makes it fall out? cause i have brown hair naturally, but want blonde hair, so if i dye it is it like going to make my hair fall out?

Dye won't cause hair loss, although it may weaken the hair strand and cause breakage. Just be sure to condition it enough.

It's things like poor diet, hormones, medications/treatments, vitamin deficiency and of course genetics that cause true hair loss i.e internal factors. Hair is dead, nothing you do to the outside will effect what goes on inside your head i.e the follicle.

a lot of men shave their heads nowadays. i'm not sure why but it means that bald people can blend in well.

It's a genetic thing. Guys generally either lose their hair in their late teens/early 20s, or much later, like 50-60 unless there is a health condition involved. If you have genetic male pattern baldness there's very little can be done (current drugs can slow hair loss but not cause regrowth or prevent it entirely).

dont listen to all those sympathetic people saying it doesnt matter and especially girls that say things like "bald men are hawt!" because inside they would rather not touch a baldie if possible. if you dont believe me then ponder this: the sexiest men on earth considered by women are Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Johnny Depp ( i dont know why), and George Clooney. Now carefully stare at their scalp... what do you see? YES! that's correct! LOTS AND LOTS OF HAIR!

Those people you mentioned are also rich and famous, so in theory, girls would not like to touch someone who is poor and not famous?

 Your logic doesn't make sense.

Get manure put it in a bag and leave it on your head for a day, repeat every fortnight and this will cure your balding.

It does seem that male pattern baldness is passed through the female line.

Your grandfather on your mothers side is a much better indicator of future hair loss than your father.

thanks all

I read some study that showed male pattern baldness tended to skip a generation. So, I guess you'll find out soon (next 10 years or so).

I've heard the wigs are very good now though - you could always go for the skinhead look (or try a combover).
