Why should I bother giving an explanation? It's obvious you're saying that based on your own experiences, you've just got a closed down view, or you're just saying that and things like "hence your utter lack of explanation" just to try and wind people up.
You want an explanation? Here's one: Boring doesn't equal quiet. Why? Because quiet doesn't mean you don't enjoy doing fun things. Duh. I know plenty of quiet people who aren't boring.

I'm quite quiet too, and it took me until after xmas to find the right people for me - hang in there, there are quiet people at Aston! Sadly I'm on placement, so I can't come and have a decent cuppa cocoa and a discussion!

AKA you can't give an explanation as there is not one.
People are quiet because they have nothing to talk about or are unable to hold conversation, which makes them boring and/or socially inept......which I have already said.

You obviously just don't like quiet people so why are you even in this thread? You're not exactly offering anything helpful are you?
People can be quiet for all kinds of reasons, it's not limited to that. Not saying much doesn't make you boring and socially inept because you can still be quiet, join in with things and make friends if you make an effort and find people with similar interests which is obviously why this thread exists. It's not joining in with things that makes you boring. Loud people can be boring.

Oh dear about the drunk people doing all that. Im not a big drinker myself. Yeah I know what you mean about people sticking to their own groups etc. I definitely feel like I cant join a 'group' cos they all seem to know each other really well. But i suppose its only early days and we quiet people might find a group of friends eventually, that's what I am hoping anyway. Have you joined any societies? i havent yet and was wondering if that would help.

I came to this thread to say that it is very hard to find quiet people to socialise with because they are quiet thus why would they be in a social environment?
You still have not given any other reason for why people would be quiet bar the ones I mentioned, ergo I am right and you are in denial.

Again how is that being positive or helpful in any way? That's just saying "Quiet people are boring so won't find anyone" which is not what the OP was asking for. That's not constructive so there's no point in saying it.

LOL that's very childish "I'm right you're wrong." Love how you're trying to wind me up, it's pretty sad. You just think you're right because you're ignoring everything I'm saying and you're obviously against quiet people. You're just generalising- not everyone whose quiet is boring and you're not right because I doubt everyone shares this opinion.

Oh right, you want me to lie and sugar coat everything?
Childish? Well who keeps spamming me with neg rep? Also, if someone presents a view point you disagree with, until you can prove or give a good reason as to why the person is wrong, that person is right and you can't disagree.
And you are not saying anything to disprove my view apart from " No, your wrong cause I say so".:o:

I have joined some societies but they don't do much, its only something once a week and sometimes i just don't have the time :eek3:

But yeah i hopefully we will find a group of friends that we get on well with but if i don't find any friends by after xmas then somethings wrong or like that other person is saying quiet people are boring, i must be very boring   :woo:

No, what I'm saying is, it depends on the person as to what they think and I was justifying that by saying why quite people aren't boring if they take part and have shared interests with people. Some people like you may think quiet people are boring, some may not. It's not a right or wrong answer. Nowhere did I actually say "You're wrong cos I say so." You're the one who said twice "You're wrong, ergo I'm right" no? LOL.
I knew you'd say I negged you but I actually didn't neg you at all. I got the impression that that was what you'd want me to do so I didn't, way to jump to assumptions!!

"I was justifying that by saying why quite people aren't boring if they take part and have shared interests with people. "
Then the person would not be quiet and would be talking merely about said subject or topic.
If they are still quiet then they are social inept as they can not discuss something they are interested in.

Now what part of that does not make sense?

Look, why don't we just leave it at you think quiet people are boring and I don't. I really don't care anymore and you can think what you like.
