Since my parents are both doctors, I'm used to being in a family that lives of about 200k a year. I know that's a lot for some people. Objectively I would also say it's a lot, so living of 30k in the future (since I want to be in the army) will be a bit of a shock for a while.

I would say anything above £30000 is a good salary. Obviously it all depends on factors such as where you want to live and how you spend the money etc. But if you're wise I, personally, see anything above £30000 as a 'good' salary.
