Odd situation

Ok...here we go.

Over a year ago I went into my local Christian bookshop with my mum, bought some stuff and I was served by a young lad (slightly older than me) I thought he wasn't bad looking but nothing more.

When we got out of the shop mum said to me that he was looking at me and that there was def something going on there!!

When I've been in there since I def noticed this guy and he noticed me- but as the shop is only 2 rooms big (a converted house!) its a bit small+ silent for conversation.

Anyway, went in there over the summer and really thought- that therwe was some...well something- looks and then when I got into the front of the quque he suddenly appeared from the office and served me- whilst the older lady who runs the place asked me where I was going off to uni etc etc (I'm not- I still have a year of A levels- but she ain't normally like that). At the time I thought I could've asked about his plans...but didn't.

Anyway- been back since and he's not there!! I reckon he's prob gone away to study...but don't want to leave it like that!

I e-mailed the shop today to try and find out (just said I was trying to put a name to a face) butdon't know whether its worth it because he doesn't know me and what would I say even if I did get an e-mail address/phone number???

ahhhhh

i'm undecided about whether this is cute or sad....! well whatever it is, you must only like him for shallow reasons anyway as you've barely ever spoken to him so as unfortunate as it is that you don't have the opportunity to get to know him, i'm sure you'll get over it  hope that helps, lol
How romantic !!!
I think it sounds like you had some chemistry! And its harsh to its shallow Grace! Most relationships start coz you think someone is hot or whatever! Its not necessary that all she wants is that, but shes found an attraction, and i think if she can pursue it she should!
Didnt mean to go all third person there.... *looks confused*

:frown: i didn't mean to sound harsh! but from the way she phrased her post it sounded as though she had more chemistry with his mum! or whoever the older lady was. All she said was she thought he was 'nice looking, but nothing more'...well, when did it turn into something more? they hardly shared souls and i know most relationships start by thinking someone's hot but it tends to progress to at least the conversational level! come on, it would be a little weird getting an email from some random you've never spoken to.i'd maybe think it was sweet but at the same time i'd be praying it wasn't a stalker

Well...I e-mailed the shop and found out that he is called Ben, but has left and is studying for a degree :-(

What to do?

Opps- hadn;t finished.

Would have spoken to him- had he still worked there!! Went back several times but he was gone... he must be coming back to the area in holidays etc. Bummer. So annoyed at myself for not going back that day. Grrrr!!!! I guess I just thougth he'd always be there!!!
well if you manage to get a contact number or email, just be casual. Say something like hi i heard you'd gone away and thought i'd get in touch or something.
