My very confusing ex...

Ok, so I've moaned about it for so long. Before I went away to Bangkok, my bf of a very long time dumped me for the second time in 2 and a half years and I was very cut up.
When I got back we met up for lunch and there was still the chemistry there, like we would be fine now because we'd got some space and had some time to reassess things. We both said we wanted to be back together, but I decided we should have things very casually.

Anyway he's started buying me stuff. Not small stuff, big stuff. I'm a big Gwen Stefani fan and she has this clothing line called L.A.M.B which is extremley expensive and he's bought me three things from ebay (which were still expensive) just because he could.

I want to be back with him and I know he still has feelings for me, but when I approached him on it the other day he said that he loved me too much and that he couldn't promise me we'd be together always and didn't want to hurt me or himself like that again...which sounds stupid to me.

But he wants to see me, talks to me all the time and keeps buying me things.

What the hell is he up to?

it could be one of two ways, he could be on the level or he ould be keeping you hanging on cos hes knows your there.
He is right in saying though that he cant promise youl be together for ever, because you dont know that
