Why is it that if i'm concentrating on eating something i find it very hard to focus on text? Its the same for about two minutes after i've stopped aswell, I have to really strain my eyes!!

How...odd... Is it just with reading that this happens, or with anything else? Although I can't say I've ever had any such problem, or have even HEARD OF any such problem, it sounds as if you may, for whatever reason, you may be suffering from long-sightedness while you're eating...if everything close to you becomes blurrier, that's what is happening. If it's only with reading text, then I have absolutely no idea.
Basically when i'm eating at my computer for example I stop what i'm doing and stare blankly into space or look at the food. When i've finished I will try and look back at the computer screen and I will not be able to focus on what is infront of me for a couple of minutes.

maybe its something to do with the movement of ure jaw or something, when I open my mouth wide I can't hear much for a few seconds so suppose it can happen with eyes too.
if you eat haribo-type sweets imported from eastern europe, the sugar concentration can be so tremendously high that it provokes instant but momentary diabetes, which can result in problems in focusing the eyes.
