sixth forms as in years 12/13 at a school - yes. u cant be over 18 when u fin ur education. i.e.) i think technically u can fin high school, dont go for a year, go back to the school, and do a year of AS Levels. i doubt they wud let some1 stay till 19, at mine they dont.

at college - obviously not, its open.

At my sixth form college, there doesn't seem to any age limits. There was this guy he was about 30 or 40 or something, I'm not sure, he came and did three A Levels. He got into Uni to do Medicine from it.

There were two people at my sixth form who stayed back a year - they were both 19 when they finished their A-levels.

I guess it depends on the circumstances, in this case one of them went into hospital for about six months at the start of lower sixth. The school said it would be best for him to redo lower sixth in the next year, when he should have been in upper sixth. If you just can't be bothered to go to school or get asked to leave then I doubt the school will let you redo a year.

I go to a seperate college. I wouldn't have gone to my high school sixth form if you'd payed me. (Well I might have. If it was a lot)

There's are quite a lot of people here who do three years, because they messed up one of their years. It doesn't even seem to be all that big of a deal.

It's up to the discretion of the senior staff and governers.

In my sixtrh-form last year we had some chap who was part of the furniture - nobody knew how long he'd been at our school! Well, he finally left last year, but we still see him around!

Our current oldest student is twenty-one. I think.

I know, I'll be lucky to reach 900... but, I'll give it a go anyway.

Thanks to everyone who answered (and will answer) my question.

I'm at a 6th form college and I'll be 19 when I finish my A Levels (because I stayed in my school's 6th form for the first year after I left and didn't like it). I'm only one year behing though - I don't know if they would have let me in if I'd been any older.

my school 6th form didn't have an age limit. There were quite a few mature students doing A-levels including one in my history class. I think they have to pay for their exam fees though and any other such expenses. The only annoying thing was that he had a lot more time than us to do preparation for lessons and coursework etc, so he made us all look bad :0)

We had someone who was about 20 or something, when she finished sixth form. This wasn't in a separate college.

You posted over a thousand times in less than a month...

...I'm sure it's possible, it just annoys everyone and there doesn't seem any point to it.
