Eating habits - I'm confused

I have never been a big eater, and can quite happily skip meals. I had quite a problem with not eating enough during my last year at schools as I had a few problems. But now in the 3 weeks I've been at uni I have put on weight and just keep eating so much junk food. I'm not happy that I'm doing it,and I want to eat more healthily and lose weight.

Is there any easy way of starting to eat better food than crisps, biscuits etc

Learn from a cook book. Learn oriental.

No better way.

You just have to learn to cook, otherwise it's just so tempting to eat junk.
If you don't discipline yourself, no-one else will.

Ride on Poica ! I agree ,I like to cook my own meals to (not much of a cook though :askpig: )
make sure you eat meals regularly... dnt skip meals as it will make u more tempted to eat junk. if u have cravings for sugar try chewing on gum, or have some jelly sweets which have very little calories. try drinking lots as well as eating fruits and veg... these wil fill u up, make ur hair shiny and skin glow... as well as not making you feel guilty. xxx

A fine line must be drawn between eating food unnecessarily(comfort eating) and consuming food when it's actually needed. The former i'm sure is quite familiar with most.

I adapt a healthy approach to my food consumption by eating fruit and drinking healthily(pure orange/apple juice) and dismissing anything that I think is 'unhealthy'.(Although the inevitable can and does happen. :p: )

If you're trying to budget, Apples and Bananas are relatively cheap.

I don't there is really any easy way, just try one week of eating healthy and you should be past your junk food addiction.

Although this is alot harder than it sounds.
