Dashavoo or however you spell it (deja-vu)

How many of you actually experience this? You know (for those of you who don't) where you are in a situation where it feels you have already been there before, heard the exact same things and did the same things. If you do have dashavoo, how often and what do you think is the cause? I experienced it yesterday (more intense than i've ever experienced it before). It just got me thinking how come we have these thoughts and it's kind of weird how you lose all sense of it afterwards, yet at the time it seems so real...

I think the word you're looking for is deja-vu
I used to get it all the time. Freaked me out a lot. I think I just grew out of it.

Nothing different to any other time i've had 'deja-vu' really. I was just sat in a lesson at college and im listening to the teacher and then all of a sudden (for about 15 seconds) everything he said, the way he pointed his ruler at the board lol fitted perfectly, and i'm sure it was more than deja-vu... It was as if i was locked in deja-vu and i've never had this before. I may just be weird

yer i know its great i've been out and order something cos it tasted nice before but i hadnt had it before i've learnt to keep quiet tho
Ive had it big time, i mean, i can actually know whats about to come next. I can sit there and run over the complete scene in my head and watch it unfold in front of me! I think some people can access parts of their brain that other people can - we use so little off it anyway! I think we could have precognitive powers! And telepathy etc etc
Bah, its not real.

Deja-vu happens mostly when you're tired and your brain starts making connections that don't make sense.

I get it when I've been coding for a few days with too little sleep, I enjoy it though. I take amusement in seeing how long a dejavu experience lasts. You know, the short ones where you go "****, I've been here", or the long ones where you go "Crap, I've been here", "Oh, and I thought that too", "And woah. that happened as well!"
ooo i get these alot, and i mean ALOT, like everyday. freaks me out

deja-vu (literal translation being "already seen") is something that has happened so often to me that I have absolutely no problem with it anymore. Often comes to me in dreams, and the event happens a few months, or even a year or two down the line.
Used to freak me out a bit, but nowadays, whenever it happens I just think "Huh, deja-vu".

Yeh I get it all the time, for some reason it feels as if I've dreamt the situation before.

That happens to me.
Yeah its happens regularly...*it's a glitch in the matrix*...sometimes they're like a split-second, others can be for a while, about 10 secs, it varies. The thing about a deja-vu is that sometimes you've got know idea what it was even about, its not always a case of *i remember that*, its often just like *whoa this has happened*, but ur not sure WHAT it is that happened, now or the time before...weird...
when i have deja-vous i just blink a lot, and try and remember when i saw this first!

my whole life is one big deja-vu
yeh it happens to me quite often too, probably once ish a month- i quite like it!! to me it also feels like i've dreamed it before...to be honest i'm sure everybody gets it, it's seems a common phenomenon. i doubt it's anything supernatural, just the mind playing tricks.
something related- do you ever wake up in the morning and then go back to sleep and dream that you get up, get ready, have breakfast etc...then wake up for real and feel really p-ed off that you are still in bed and haven't actually done any of it yet?..maybe that's just me...

I get it alot.

I've dreamnt things before (literally the exact same moment) in some place I ve never been.
Then It happens. It's impossible to control though, because you forget the dream in the morning until the event actaully happens. Then it hits you, "I've done this before, Ive felt this, Ive seen this"....Then you check your memory "Wait a second, No I havent, Ive never met this person in my life or been here before."

Deja-Vu.
