WTH the Christina Aguilera Beautiful video had a gay kiss and was a lot longer than the little peck in Katy's vid.

So what if they do? They watch straight kisses (and far more for many, I'm sure) all the time.

If I'm not mistaken the version that you posted is the original video ...? If you think they censored it then I don't think that's the case, more that the original just did the whole before-and-after thing.

This sort of attitude annoys me to no end. There is all sorts of violence and crime shown before the watershed, things which are far more influential to children, yet people think that somehow children will be infinitely damaged by seeing two men kiss each other. It's ridiculous and we need to get over this stupid idea that children seeing gay or lesbian people is highly dangeorus thing when they see far worse on TV on a regular basis.

Well said. This ridiculous and completely unnecessary censorship really infuriates me - how can we claim to be a permissive society if things like this are happening!? There is absolutely nothing wrong or shameful in homosexuality - censoring a kiss, for goodness' sake, I would understand if it was a sex scene - and the sooner people wake up and realise this the better.

I completely agree with these posts, censoring a gay kiss is just ridiculous. It's not just protests or speeches that are keeping homosexuality going, it's little things like this that are subconsciously teaching children that being gay isn't 'normal'. Kids ought to be aware of it at the same age they are made aware of heterosexuality.

Children get influenced easily. While most of them are smart enough to not copy what an action movie character does ( shooting, knifing etc..) if they see two people of the same sex kissing the same way straight people do, they will copy them.

Also, to the OP (don't know how to reply to multiple quotes) I don't see what are you moaning about, if you see the moral of the video, I think its favouring gay people.

Not necessarily. And what's wrong with it if they do?

You are joking, right? You just admitted that most children aren't impressionable enough to do what they see on the TV, so why on earth would they start kissing members of the same-sex? At that age children have no sexual urges at all, and kissing anybody is a repulsive thought, and they'll only be interested in that sort of stuff once they reach puberty. If you're insinuating that it might somehow turn children gay, you're point is somewhat void.

My little brother watched Pink's new video yesterday (Which has a full on gay kiss) and as far as I'm aware he hasn't made out with any of his mates, and he's 9 years old.

Excuse me:rolleyes:I think you might wanna rephrase the bold part because that's what you think.

To be fair seeing two men kiss is utterly nauseating. I'd guess it was censored not on moral grounds but to save everyone their lunch.

You talk about sexual urges-Remember this story:

http://www.wsws.org/articles/2010/may2010/boys-m27.shtml

Do you still think 10 years old children do not have the potential-Grow up!

Gays seem to be left out which is why they're appearing in these tv shows etc. alluring children in to heinous acts!

Yes because clearly all 10 year olds are like the ones you posted in the story  I'm pretty sure those two children were influenced by family issues at home, not by seeing two men kiss on TV. Get a grip.

:lolwut:seriously, some of these comments!? why are people so backwards nowadays?
there is nothing immoral/illegal/disgusting about homosexuality! its actually concerning so many still think it is...

They'd only censor it if people complained. If you get a handful of people complain about anything, it'll be banned. 10 people complained about one of the Snickers 'get some nuts' adverts (the one with the speed walker) and it's never been aired again.

Time you learnt the world is run by the minority

Oh, you're right. Sorry, I meant -- 'Modern, rational-thinking society realises that there is nothing shameful or wrong in homosexuality.'

Don't take me wrong, I ain't homophobic or anything, but do you really think it's errm (trying to be political correct) natural? Man was made to reproduce with Woman. Not that there is anything wrong with you a gay person, but that is the reason why there's always controversy about these things. Because people think its unnatural.

And I am pretty sure a lot of parents wouldn't like to see their daughters kissing another woman just because they saw it on TV.

But like I said on the previous post, I see no problem with this video, it is favouring gay people, not dehumanizing them.
