Hey - Need some help here guys!!

Hi All

There's a seriouslyy cute girl I like who's working in my local and want to ask her out, but not sure of the best way to go about it?

I get a lot of smiles, eye contact, etc from her and joke around a little with her to, but don't really know her and will only see her at work. Whats the best way to go about this, as I:

a: Don't want to get blown out
b: Don't want to hassle her - as it is her place of work!
c: Was kind of involved with a colleague of hers a few months back, although
nothing serious

I'm usually a lot more confident than this, but she's really foxy and reckon she gets hit on all the time ...so I need to stand out from the crowd!

Thanks

MJ

get to work extra early and leave her a box of chocolates and/or flowers, from a 'secret admirer'
Looks good, but make sure she has a hint that it's you that sent them. If you can tell she likes you just say 'fancy a drink sometime?'

sorry, misled you both with my original email.

I don't work with her, she works at my local, I'll only see her when she's working and I'm out having a drink. Besides, I have no problem letting her know its me who likes her, so mystery chocs isn't really the best way for me to go here.

Just need to have the right thing to say ...perhaps get her to go for a drink after work?

If your afraid of asking her out 'cos of being blown out then you probably never will ask her.

Grow some balls, don't be afraid..if you do get blown out take it on the chin!

go towards the end of her shift, order your drink and say '...and whatever you're having' or something along those lines...then when she finishes she'll have to come and have a chat with you 'cause you've already bought her a drink . ooooh, grace is clever!

No, not that original Grace I'm afraid. I've already bought her a few drinks (bought her one last night actually), commented on the fact she looks better when her hair down, that drinking carling is very ladylike etc... I'd say I flirt quite readily with her, but I do with all of the bar staff there. I think she sorted out my hair a few weeks back for me at a cross dressing party ...lol!

I definitely am going to do something, so no problems with that one either, just be nice for once to know what I'm gonna say as oppose to making it up as I go along!!

Was thinking about saying 'when d'you finish? fancy a drink or a takeaway?' ...and get her to call around my house which is just down the road. Although I'm not sure if thats the best way forward?

First point i've highlighted is a bad move...you know what girls are like, she probably is paranoid she looks awfull with her hair up!

Second point...you can't ask a girl you hardly know to come to your house on a first date!

i know, thats what i'm toying with ...she gets hit on all the time, believe me, need to have an edginess /confidence about me here that differentiates me from the other guys!!

Re: hair thing, no probs, said she looked older and it suited her better, she was chuffed so no problems. Also, as she's so hot, delibrately not playing to it ...ie teasing her whenever etc.

Perhaps just get her to meet me in a bar after she finishes work?

Maybe safer option, but if she goes for the house option ...result!

If a girl has changed her hair for a day and you say 'wow, your hair looks really nice like that,' i can hardly see any girl being upset by it, indeed quite the opposite. As long as you don't phrase it whereby it implies 'before you looked rubbish but now you look much better.' you can't go wrong. Unless of course you are a complete muppet.

No ...I'm not a muppet ...lol! She seemed quite chuffed - I can be suave when I need to be, although I prefer the jokey approach which is harder to acheive when you're either side of a bar.
heh. good good, i was agreeing with you that it was a perfectly good thing to say, and as you say yields good results.

Just get talking to her and say "so what you up to after work?". If she's like "oh, nothing" then say "same here...fancy doing nothing together?" or something like that. If she has plans then don't say that!

'...fancy doing nothing together' ...lol GREAT. I may just use that!

I was probably going to follow along those lines in any case, but thats a good line!
'When in doubt improvise' thats my motto. I have difficuty talking to people but if i have to say something i make it up as i go along, always works for me.
