Good ... did u get the constant in the integration as 4?

53.1 for the trig, 4.9 sumthing and 4.8 sumthing for the area R

11.7 for sumthing else.

-3 and 15 for the quadratic.

and (x+10)/(1+ ln10) or sumthing like that for sumthing else.

OCR P2 was fairly easy. No really hard questions, it was easier than i expected. Hope to get a really good mark on it.

How many marks were there in total? Because I forgot. And how many marks do you need for an A?

Slightly off topic. I was wondering if any of you can solve this:

There are 6 letters:

A,E,C,V,N,M

How many possible arrangements are there where A and E are together?
Just finished my S1 exam, and this was the only question I am not too sure about.

I got 60. Is this right?
i would have said 10 * 4! = 240 .....

Why is that? Is it not treated as 5! / 2 ?

10 different possibilities for where the A and E are:

AE****
*AE***
**AE**
***AE*
****AE

5 (plus those with EA) = 10

the C, V, N, M can be in any order, so all those possibilities are 4!

=> 10 * 4! = 240

i got similar anserws but im sure -3 and 15 is not right. Cus the function was even.

it means that it is a reflection in the y axis. like y=cos x

the formal definition is: f is an even function if and only if f(-x) == f(x)

-3 and 15 for the quadratic.

.
I got -3 and 15 but I eliminated -3 as x is greater than 0

What an easy edexcel p2 paper though

If I wrote:

x=-3
x=15

as my answer at the end, would I lose marks as I did not 'eliminate' -3?

Well I think it would be very unlucky to not get the full marks, considering you gave the correct answer.

And just how easy was the very last trig question....plus worth a tasty 5 marks I think!

100. Having said that, I think that loosing a mark on the paper immediately caused you to drop to 98/100 - the scaling of the marks is what made it difficult, rather than the questions.
