Not sure if this belongs in here, but it seems as good a place as any and I spose it is health related.
Basically I've decided to give up chocolate for a week because I've been eating terrifying amounts of it and I was wondering if anyone fancied joining me. Sort of for moral support or something

*shrugs* probly a stupid idea
I gave up chocolate for lent last year, and a few years before that. If I managed that long (and I'm the biggest chocoholic ever) you can cope for a week. Good luck!
*continues eating bar of Lindt Excellence* Sorry, but I won't be joining you
Chocolate's just too precious for me to resist
Haha, here try a Tim Tam *passes Dalimyr a traditional Aussie chocco biscuit*/Jokes!
I could never completely give up chocolate, but because I'm on a diet right now, my chocolate intake has decreased to just a Milo a day. Hey I'm not complaining, the stuff rocks!
ive given it up for lent before....it wasnt actually as hard as i thought it would be..and i also go through periods of eating LOTS of chocolate. Thing is, i totally dont eat sweets as such (as in boiled, gummy things or things like that) so i always go to chocolate instead....
I don't really like chocolate that much...I mean, it's alright, but I can't see what all the fuss is about!
I seem to remember hearing something about it a few months ago. I can't remember it exactly, but there's something in the chocolate that acts as a stimulant - it makes us feel happy, so we enjoy it and consequently want more of it. It's like a drug, and LOADS of people are addicted to it.
I'll join in. I dont really like choclate that much, Sometimes choclate taste's too sugary but in others it's all right. So ill join, might as well try to become fitter.
In the last two weeks i have eaten 1 chocolate bar. At home i used to have it everyday, now at uni i just don't seem to crave it like i used to. Sometimes i don't even want it at all.
Looking at the ingredients, I wouldn't say so - there's less cocoa powder in it than hazelnuts (which is 13%). Milk chocolate generally has 43%+ cocoa solids, and proper chocolate contains 70%+. That's why I love Lindt so much - the 70% and 85% bars are GORGEOUS. I'll still have Cadbury chocolate if I have it, but it's not as nice as Lindt.
i'd love to join but i'm doing a project on belgian chocolates and therefore need to sample what i'm writing about, oh and i've just finished a freddo.
