Nottingham University is a campus uni, right next door to a very vibrant city. For me it's the best of both worlds. The campus is lovely, this site has images of the hall buildings, academic buildings, views of the general campus and theatre etc. Have a look: http://cgi.bbc.co.uk/nottingham/360/students/university/

Hope this helps. xx

I'm sorry but that Uni is crap. I hated it :s

Reply 4

That's your opinion Tim, so fair enough, but can I ask WHY you thought it was crap?

The University of Nottingham is a campus university within walking distance from the lively city of Nottingham.

The campus is like parkland on a countryside estate. It's huge and verdent with a large lake in the middle. In the summer the campus is usually packed with students sunbathing and having picnics. The campus is absolutely beautiful and along with Roehampton University in south-west London, it is the most beautiful university campus in Britain.

Sorry to drag this thread up again, but didn't want people to be put off by thinking that the UoN campus is too far to walk into the city...it takes about 30-45 minutes to walk from South Entrance to Broadmarsh, it's definitely walking distance..! For those less inclined to physical exercise, buses only cost £1.20.

Campus uni in the suburbs of Nottingham. Although some of the accomodation is off-campus. From Beeston area/uni campus, basic shops are 5mins away & Notts city centre is 20 mins on the Rainbow5. cycle lanes all the way.

Nottingham Uni is absolutely beautiful! I think Tim must be thinking of Trent, too! Very much a campus uni! Very very pretty with the lake, downs etc. Great for BBQs, picnics, having fun in the summer or any time of the year for that matter!

Nottm to Windsor - 2 1/2 hours if traffic is ok.

Nottm to Windsor - has taken up to 6 hours in bad traffic/weather.

Bus/Train - wouldn't have a clue.
