LexisNexis

In the Times today (student special in the Law section) there is mention of an online test you can do to gain a certificate for Legal Research, on the LexisNexis website. I've visited the site but you need a special login, does anyone know how to get one? I've logged in to my universities legal database section and tried to get in through there, but to no avail.

Must be the Athens password. You should have one if your at university.
I haven't been informed of it and I've emailed the Law Libarian but she's on leave.
I just did a search and I think we do have the Athens connection thing but I can't get on to the certificate page whilst logged in, all I have access to is the legal database

I love LexisNexis. Much prefer it to Westlaw.

westlaw rules. You can do natural language searches its amazing.
Yes Westlaw rules when you eventually find stuff, but I've found that its so called advanced search facilities leave alot to be desired. Even if you drop a perfect citation into a search box it usually won't throw up the article you're after. But search issues aside it is superb - content is king!
I have to agree, Westlaw>LexisNexis.
Lexis has a power search facility which allows me to look up American Briefs for my APL work, so West Law is no comparison. With out Lexis I would fail the course because I would have no cases
Lexis girl here too
Lexis is amazing. Westlaw sucks. Simple as.

edit: OK, if I didn't have HeinOnline as well I'd probably use Westlaw more...
Lexis definitely is better than Westlaw. Easier to find stuff.
What is this certificate then? Sounds a reasonable thing to do. I saw no details of it on our version of Lexis
