Studying a course you know nothing about

I am curious about Business Management but I know nothing about it. Basically what I wanto to know is do they offer introductionary modules from those who haven't studied it before. I love maths but didnt take it at a-levels, I know alot about computers since my dad is a computer engineer. I just feel that you should study subjects you have studied before.

A-levels predictions: Psychology (A), Sociology(B), English(B),

AS Bio (D)

Gcse's : Bus.stud, Maths, Eng, Science, History, Graphics, French, I.T

WHAT! You should have made your mind up, I suggest you do some SERIOUS RESEARCH and FAST.

Do a lot of research! Try and see if you can find any notes on the internet, look around the uni websites or prospectuses, and maybe read some books.

Have you tried the Stamford test on the UCAS site? That might throw up some areas you're interested in for you to consider. And maybe you should talk to a career's advisor or someone from Connexions or similar.
I have done extensive research but I feel I want to study something that is very broad and vocational. Basically I recieved higher predicted grades then I thought I would get and now I am revaluating my course choices.

I don't think that business requires previous knowledge to study it at university.

Yeah, just read though an A level textbook a few times and pick p the key points. Its a fairly low-effort subject, only 5 hours contact time per week for it here.

It doesn't require previous knowledge, but you still need to know what you'll be studying!
Im definately going to check it out to see if I'll enjoy it.
Is there anyone on here who has applied or is on the course, that didn't study business at A-level.

Also do my subjects help me or hinder me in my choice

I got the impression that the OP was asking about studying Business Management at university:

My reply was aimed at the second part I highlighted...as in, no you don't need to have previous knowledge of the subject, hence do not need to undertake introductionary modules.

Seriously, do not apply to a course you're clueless about.
Have a look at ukcoursefinder.com for potential alternative courses. You seem to have done business studies at GCSE, it won't be a million miles away from that. Obviously there will be a lot you haven't covered, otherwise studying it at uni would be somewhat pointless. I suggest going to Open Days and asking students on the courses.

Why dont you do a joint degree?

Check out careers websites, and prospects.ac.uk should give you some information on the degree.
