Have I messed up my LNAT

I went to do the lnat on tuesdays and it went as follows: -

I left out three questions on the multiple choice and found it fairly hard. In the mock test i got 22 out of 30 but found the "real" one much harder.

The essay went well and i maintained a good line of argument throughout however, i ran out of time and was unable to complete the conclusion to the best of my ability.

I am only using the lnat exam for one of the universities i am applying to and am now wondering whether it will be more beneficial for me to apply to exeter instead. As i feel i have done only ok and not good and my chances of getting a place with exeter may be greater.

BUT exeter says it take on either AAB or AAA while uea is AAB and i will most likely get AAB. Taking all these factors into account what do you think will be the most beneficial decision i can make.

Anyones opionion on what i should do is much appreciated. Thankyou

Don't worry. It's only one component of the assessment criteria.

Don't worry about missing out 3 questions - it's done now. Could quite conceivably not reflect negatively on your overall score anyway. The essay is arguably more important because it is indicative of how well you can construct a logical argument.

Really don't stress dude, and you only need the LNAT for UEA.

Good luck!

Did mine today. Really enjoyed the essay, some of the multiple choice difficult, but think I managed. Roll on offers....

Hi,

Just thought I'd let you know that I had a pretty similar experience to you when I sat the LNAT last year - didn't feel particularly great about the multiple-choice section and ran out of time on the essay. Anyway, I did much better than I thought on first bit and, to this day, I don't know what anyone thinks about the essay. Anyway, after all my stressing I got a place at Oxford, and I'm sure you'll do the same!
I think they only look at the essay at borderline cases as the scores are alot more accessible for the unis. My score of 20 out of 24 last year was the only thing, I feel, got me places in the lottery that is Law offers. Having said that I took 'educated' guesses on alot. Why did u leave 3 out? All you had to do was click a button before the end of the test??? However, there are plenty of people on my course who didn't do that well with as low as 7 out of 24 last year so it can't bode too strongly, no matter what my feelings on it are.
