Anyone else interested in the proxemics of people, and other body language areas? I find it soooooo amusing! I did a mini course on it, and now i can tell how a person feels, if they mean what they say etc etc just by watchin what they do. hehehehe

yeh eye contact is the major area as well as other facial signs. and the hands also.

on the course we did everything from eye contact, how you cover up lies, stances, how to tell if s/he fancies you/dislikes you, irritation, whos the leader of a group and whose least respected etc etc It was very interesting.

Like how a group of 3 friends position themselves and how we stand in a queue

I tend to do a lot of people watching, like b ody language and stuff. its a really good way of creating believeable characters in theatre, if you can emulate specific elements of body language concerning a particular emotion

well 2 obvious ones r where their body is pointing. if their feet are pointing it you direction (particulary in a V shape one foot slightly forward of the other) thats a good sign.the body will also face you, particulary the top half in girls (to show off obvious assets).

if a girl is to play with her hair or run her finger over a glass rim that is a very good sign. it is known as 'toying'. if she shows her wrist a lot its a good sign. Playing where her neck, particulary if bare is an erotic gesture she will so without conciously knowing if she likes you. the neckj is seen as a very eroctic area.

she will also tilt her head slightly whihc shows interest in what your saying. you will also notice she blinks slightly more than usual. in turn you wilkl try to catch up with her rate (not conciously). becuase they eyes are seen as a window to your soul, this is a sign of trying to make a connection/form a bond.

This goes for blokes to but in slightly less obvious ways.
