Should I get Clinique or Lancome skincare

OK, girlies, I have decided to last out and treat myself to some nice skin care.

I've used some of the Clinique and Lancome products before, but would appreicate some advice on these and other brands?

Background - I have oily ish t zone, prefer cleansing in shower with foamy wash and need to put on moisturiser otherwsie my skin feels tight. Also exfoliate once or twice a week dep on seasons and mask once a week.

Cheers!

I think Lancome is nicer quality, and better value.
I prefer Clinique; it is fairly expensive (but not horrendously so) but then nice skincare generally is (if you go abroad it's generally cheaper though, esp America.) I don't know about Lancome and what they do but Clinique has a very good range of stuff for all types of skin and they tend to give you good advice on what you should be using without trying to sell you things they don't think you should use (though this might vary depending on where you buy the stuff.) I have the same type of skin as you, I think, and I find their antibacterial range is really good; they told me exactly what to do and said that I shouldn't use certain things because they weren't right for my type. The stuff lasts a long time too, if you use it properly, and seems to be good quality (though as I said I haven't used Lancome so can't compare.) I find it really works for me and my friends who use it too.
i think lancome is better. ive been well put off clinique ever since i found that one of there products which i used on my face was flammable and worked as nail polish remover (it was step 2 of there 3-step system)
i wasnt too keen on there moisturisers either
It's flammable because it contains alcohol, like all toners do to some extent. Nail varnish remover also contains alcohol, or something very similar and equally flammable, so therefore you could probably, if you wanted to waste a lot of money, use Clinique toner as nail varnish remover. You could use most toners the same way, though I'm not sure they'd work that well, as nail varnish remover has other ingredients which toner doesn't have and vice versa, hence the different uses.
I'm not trying to sell you Clinique or anything, it's a personal decision what skincare you prefer; I just thought I ought to point out for the OP that Clinique toner is not just expensive nail varnish remover and is fine to use on your face!

Surely you should make an assessment on a product by product basis?

All my makeup and skin care is Clinique, so I dont really know anything about Lancome, but I would always go for Clinique. You could always ask one of the assistants and they will advise you on whats best.
I'd say Lancome
no idea. never used clinique, i buy lancome makeup. its damn pricey and not very economic for how often i use it. but its good stuff

I also have combination skin with oily T-zone and have tried both brands. Clinique is nice (I love it partly because it's 100% fragrance-free). But Lancome is definitely better in the range for oily skin (Pure Focus - they call it). Try it! But I'm now in love with Estee Lauder. It's amazing!^__^
I think Lancome is muuuuuch better quality and value for money, i always use their products and they r the best! honest!
Im a clinique person myself. But only out of habit
Lancome because imo its a better quality even though Clinique is good.
