Because the other thread is soooooo long i thought i'd make a new one, with a new poll so we can see the views of the newer members. Other than that, it's exactly the same as edders' thread. Take it away, guys...

I have just voted the Tories. There is no alternative other than perhaps the liberals. Voting Labour would be like stabbing my back.

I could never bring myself to vote Tory, even more so now that they have that snake as a leader.

I don't like Howard but I do like the Tories. Howard always seems so smug and condescending! I was hoping for Portillo as leader but ahwell, he wants to follow a new route. I'll still be voting tory though

I just like the tories because Labour medel in things too much. They want to change everything. I am not saying I agreed with everything thacter did but she did a lot of goods things, though privatisation and cutting back uni funds were not one of them.

Privatisation is a good short-term option. Over the space of 17 years, it caused many problems.

I don't understand how the tories manage to appeal to young people.

Neither do I. I guess a lot is to do with how you were brought up.

I thought a lot of this people on this board where supposed to be intelligent, socially concious young adults? Why would they just follow in the footsteps of their parents? (I appreciate that that's probably not exactly what you meant)

I will say in Manchester privitisation of the buses has worked wonders, the bus service is ten times better now than it ever was when my parents were younger. As for the railways well I think we all agree it was a bad idea.

If you won't vote, then you can't vote in my poll. People who don't vote should be locked up.

Perhaps. It's a terrible thing to do though, vote Tory.
