I've had many moles around my body and it's really affected my self esteem. I'm so reluctant to take my shirt off in public because I just don't want others to see, even if they don't have a problem with it, such as at a swimming pool or in general. It's really affected how I look at myself and lowered my confidence around others in some cases, I've made it severely affect my love life too.
This isn't a self pity thread, I was wondering if anyone with similar experiences would shed light on how to go about getting them removed. I once went to a GP about it a couple of weeks before I moved away to university and he said he would refer me to a dermatologist, but even then he didn't seem so keen on the whole concept. I never got the letter about it though. I also realise that it's not covered on the NHS, although only unless it's harmful to health.
I've searched on the internet and found the 'Spire Health Care' which can offer advice and maybe do the removal. But I'm worried about the cost. I've not approached this matter before now because I was not able to do it under the radar of my parents, I could not talk to them about it. Looking at another topic on TSR, someone said it cost them a several hundred for one removal on their face... a couple hundred?! It's a 10 minute procedure! And I was hoping to get around 10 removed :/ How exactly am I meant to afford that as a student? Any advice appreciated.

Ive had a few moles removed for health reasons but I cant see the NHS being willing to remove them due to cosmetic reasons. I have also read it can cost a few hundred quid to have them removed privately, but I dont know for sure.
I know you say they effect your confidence but I very much doubt people notice, the majority of people have moles/freckles etc so it's just something that is considered natural, I certainly dont notice moles on other people.
