    Is the yield point on a stress/strain graph just before the peak of the graph or on the peak of the graph??

    And also, is the yeild point the point where the material starts to show a large increase in strain for a small increase in stress or is it the point before that??

    And is the yield point in the same place on a force / extension graph??

    It depends a lot on the material.
