I want to release a brown crab, will he survive?

He was on ice for a day, maybe more and then 3 hours in my bag.

He has bubbles coming out of his mouth and he is moving quite a lot.

    I simply can't kill him.

I live on the south coast of England and can release him into sea

    Will he survive?

    Thanks.

They live in the North Sea and North Atlantic, so he should be ok as long as he's still alive.

But you'd do better releasing him from a boat if you want him to have a long and happy life, if you release him too close to a pier or harbour it's pretty likely he'll just get caught again

keep him as a pet, he will grow and love his new home.

Even pets have feelings, hearts and needs...............

Just a small water tank could do.

This could be your new crab's home: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Small-Aquarium...item6fc2a54847
