    * mental illness (eg. schizophrenia, depression)
    * eating disorders (eq. bulimia, anorexia)
    * substance abuse (particularly "hardcore" drugs)
    * perception
    * perfectionism
    * narcissism, psychological egoism

    I'm wondering how I can tie one or more of these topics into a sociology-based EPQ (Extended Project Qualification) idea, anyone got any suggestions?

    Does it have to be sociology? Because those topics sound a lot more like psychology related.

    If you have to do sociology, do health. You could do stratification of mental illness (which ED's and substance abuse come under) and the consequences in society e.g. politics, poverty

    Yeah, they are quite psychology related, but I was really hoping for a way to make this more about Sociology because that's what I'm applying for at uni (was going to apply for Psych but I dropped my required science A Level because it was just too hard) ..

    How about analysing substance abuse and the social causes of it? You could look into whether it is the result of homelessness, labelling, poverty or alienation?
