Depends.

If you want a meaty screen the Desire HD is best.
If you want a fast phone without the meaty screen then get the Desire.
If you are on a budget get the Wildfire (or consider the San Francisco).


I don't know what I want. Something not bulky and with a decent battery life that is fast at responding as texting on touch screens has always pissed me off.

I am half tempted to keep my w890i and get a sim contract :mmm:

What about if I was running labour intensive apps on it? Some games and a liberal amount of wifi use?

That sounds reasonable. There is one the Desire Z. What's the deal with that one.

The Desire's battery life isn't brilliant, just adding that one in. It's to be expected though and obviously depends on usage.
