I'm going to have to try using my BT Home Hub (I normally use just a BT modem, but Steam games don't want to connect with it). Last time I used it, I remember Look 'n' Stop not reading my IP address (it was just zeroes).

Anyone know if I'm still protected even if it doesn't show an IP address?

I've asked on the official forum, but that place is pretty dead.

I'd never heard of Look 'n' Stop firewall until just now. If it's not reading your IP address that will most likely be a fault of the program rather than your connection, assuming you can use the Internet normally. If you're behind a Home Hub, a firewall isn't particularly essential, all it will protect you against is other people connecting to the same network. So long as you have your wi-fi secured with a decent password, and you trust your housemates/family/significant other/trained monkeys, there's nothing really to worry about.

    It's wired.

There's no problem with my connection, this was really just a question for those who have Look 'n' Stop.
