    hey everyone

i am wondering whether it is worth it to resit Higher english and Higher Chemistry or to get a full time job instead.

i left school at the end of fifth year with these results:
    int2 maths-A
    Higher computing-B
    Higher french-B
    higher english-D
    higher chemistry-D

after phoning up several scottish universities (e.g edinburgh, glasgow, rgu etc.), i found out i would have a good chance of getting a place in a Computer Science or Maths degree at any one of the above uni's by doing an HNC computing and Higher maths, which i would need a B in (other option is an HND in software development) and that i wouldnt need english or chemistry.

i figured since uni is extremely competitive and uni;s typically dont like retakes than im baffled as to why my parents want me to retake these two subjects at my school.

so what do you folks think? should i retake them or get a full time job?
soz for the long post :P
    thanks

    lewis

ps it will cost £3000 for me to take the exams at my old school :O

Well if you want to go to uni then do an HNC in Computing and Higher Maths or do the 2 years HND Software Development and then go into 2nd/3rd year at uni.
