Do you think this is possible?

Can different cultures and religions exist together, with equal rights and representation, and peacefully respect each other's views, sensitivities and requirements? Where the state respects each culture and religion equally, and where none of them are given more privileges and rights than others?

Or is this romanticised notion of multiculturalism destined to fail, due to the nature of humanity?

Multiculturalism does not work and will always fail. Multiracialism is fine (neither good nor bad, unless you want to be racist about it), but multiculturalism should be avoided.

I think so, obviously it does present problems, however as something that I would regard as inevitable at some point, is it possible? Yes.

It probably wouldnt ever be 100% successful. The majority of people want to live peacefully but there will always be a minority in each culture/religion/race that spoil things.

To an extent yes. There will always be conflict with what is different but we can live together almost peacefully.
